About the Owner
Seana Florida, KPA-CTP
Seana has over ten years of experience working with dogs and is passionate about using positive reinforcement to create effective and compassionate training programs. As a Certified Karen Pryor Academy Training Partner (KPA-CTP), she has trained with highly respected professionals in the field, learning evidence-based techniques that prioritize both effectiveness and ethics.
She is also a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Puppy Start Right Instructor, specializing in early puppy development and socialization to set them up for a lifetime of good behavior.
Seana’s background includes a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan in Ecology, Evolution, and Biodiversity. This background allows her to gain a clearer understanding of how genetics and the environment shape behavior and learning.
In addition to her training experience, Seana worked as a veterinary assistant, where she gained hands-on experience administering oral and topical medications, ear and eye treatments, and subcutaneous injections. This further enhances her well-rounded skill set in animal care.
When she’s not training dogs, Seana spends time with her poodle, Gemma, who constantly inspires her with her unique personality. Their journey together reinforces Seana's belief in the importance of understanding each dog's individual needs.
Seana is dedicated to helping dogs and their families build strong, positive relationships through compassionate training.
About Gemma
Gemma is a 5-year-old moyen poodle. At 35 lbs, she’s energetic, loves playing fetch, and enjoys her time running free at Sniffspot with her furry friends. While she’s sweet and playful, she also struggles with overexcitement and reactivity, requiring a mindful approach to her training and socialization.
